Orphan Sponsorship

For just £15 a month

You can support an orphan to be housed, fed, and clothed in a loving caring environment. It also helps cover the medical and schooling needs of that child. On application you will be given a list of orphans with their photo’s and profiles for you to choose from. Once your choice has been made, the history of that child will be sent to you together with regular updates of that child’s progress.

If your financial circumstances are such that you are unable to provide the monthly support on your own, perhaps you might consider contributing as part of a group to give that monthly support.

If you do not wish to give regular monthly support for this project then perhaps a ‘one off’ donation would be considered for this work. If you are a UK Taxpayer Gift Aid Declarations are available on request.

Buy a Brick - Mother and Baby Clinic Building Project

For just 20p a brick

It takes approximately 12000 bricks to build a clinic. You can help us continue our programme of building Mother and Baby Clinics in Africa. Our initial programme of five clinics has now been completed. However, the need for these clinics is so great that we wish to be able to continue this work. The joy expressed by the women in the villages where we have built these clinics, needs to be seen, as they realise that they will be able to give birth in a safer environment. The conditions under which these women had to give birth in the past has been horrendous and dangerous. Yet for a comparatively little money we can make a significant difference to the lives of these women and their children. We all want the best for our families and the Africans are no exception. Both the Malawi Ministry of Health and the British Government support what we are doing.

As each clinic is completed it is arranged that the village Traditional Birth Attendant is given teaching on how to use the new facilities and how to improve their delivery skills.

We and the communities in which we operate are ready to do our part. The communities are ready and waiting to supply the labour, mould bricks and dig the sand and aggregate free but funds are needed for materials.

At present there is no funding for this project other than what can be raised by public subscription -YOU. You can help all this to happen by just buying a brick or bricks. We have proved that it can be done, please enable us to continue the work.

Buy a Brick - Freshwater Project

For just £2.50 a brick

It takes approximately 1000 bricks to build an installation which gives safe fresh water. With every Mother and Baby clinic we now build we are endeavouring to provide clean freshwater to provide better hygiene and a safer environment for the mothers and their babies. It costs approximately £2500 to sink a borehole and provide the afridev pump. This price covers the cost of surveying and mobilising the drilling equipment to site. It covers the costs of the deep drilling operation itself together with the other materials required, and the supervision of the community in building the required pump standing. Also included in the cost is the instruction to the community on how to maintain the pump themselves. Included with the pump is a washing slab which makes it easier for the women to do their washing. This is generally a community based programme with the villagers supplying, the bricks, sand, labour and aggregate free.

By buying a brick or bricks you could enable us to continue this work.
